немного об истории

Летом 2000-го года два друга и бывшие соседи Marshall Carnage (aka Nero) и Josef Heresy решили организовать музыкальную группу, взяв в качестве названия несколько измененное написание химического вещества «Циклон Б» и число 9, которое часто использовал Алистер Кроули в своих произведениях. Начинали они c гитарного industrial «американского образца» в лучших традициях KMFDM и MINISTRY, но затем PSYCLON NINE решили взять равнение на более прогрессивное европейское электронное звучание в духе WUMPSCUT, SUICIDE COMMANDO или VELVET ACID CHRIST. Вскоре после этого к коллективу присоединяется третий участник Eric Gottesman (до этого бывший фронтмэном североамериканской индустриальной группы SEE COLIN SLASH).

В 2003-м году на извеcтном германском электро-лейбле NoiTekk PSYCLON NINE выпускает свой дебютник «Divine Infekt», который был признан одним из лучших дебютных альбомов этого года. Музыка группы поразила слушателей не только экстремальным звучанием и нетривиальными мелодиями, но и своей поэзией — минималистичной, но бьющей прямо в цель. В конце альбома имелся удачный ремикс заглавной песни от популярной европейской группы TACTICAL SEKT.

Не обошлось и без скандалов — на музыкантов посыпались обвинения в нацизме, потому что название группы использует название газа Zyklon B, известного за его приминение нацистской Германией для массового уничтожения людей в концентрационных лагерях. В ответ на обвинения Неро заявил, что «те, кто думает, что мы нацисты — просто идиоты и я не хочу, чтобы они вообще слушали мою музыку».

В 2005-м году PSYCLON NINE записали свой второй альбом «INRI», выпущенный лейблами NoiTekk в Европе и Metropolis в США. Как видно из названия («INRI» — аббревиатура «Иисус Назарей, Царь Иудейский»), эпицентром средоточия композиций нового альбома стала Библия. Всего 13-ти песен, наполненных концентрированной мрачной электро-индустриальной энергией и направленных на раскрытие дуалистичности Святого Писания, хватило для того, чтобы имя PSYCLON NINE целый год не выходило из умов поклонников, их фотографии и интервью регулярно появлялись во всех печатных gothic/industrial изданиях, а группа была настолько востребована, что исколесила с концертами буквально весь мир.

Альбом «INRI» стал для PSYCLON NINE визитной карточкой, продемонстрировав не только умение освежить взгляд на старые и забытые религиозные темы, но и доказав, что еще можно внести разнообразие в такой, казалось бы, устоявшийся жанр как Dark Electro.

С началом тура в поддержку альбома в качестве ударника к группе присоединяется ещё один участник Filip Abbey (Abbey Nex), также являюшийся участником группы ABBEYVAIN, а в конце года в качестве гитариста/клавишника в состав вливается Rodney Ford (dj Rotten Rotny), принимавший участие в таких проектах как BOZO PORNO CIRCUS и NOCTURNE.

В свою очередь третий диск «Crwn Thy Frnicatr», вышедший в конце 2006-го, продемонстрировал еще более агрессивное и инфернальное звучание, не чуждое влияния не только канонов Dark Electro, но и включающее в себя элементы Rock, Black Metal и Hardcore. Композиции «Crwn Thy Frnicatr» наполнены такой болью и страданиями, о которых не слышала даже святая инквизиция. Музыка в стиле Dark Electro никогда еще не была настолько мрачной и зловещей.

Во второй половине 2006-го года PSYCLON NINE отправляются в свой второй тур по Европе, в который они едут вместе с COLUMBINЕ, группой из Детройта. В последствии один из участников этой группы, Kevin (Dr. Sevin, VII), присоединяется к составу PSYCLON NINE официально.

В первой половине 2007-го к PSYCLON NINE в качестве ударника неофициально присоединяется Daniel Fox, также известный по участию в группе MUSHROOMHEAD, и Abbey Nex становится на бас. Однако Fox не мог уделять все свое время PSYCLON NINE и вскоре покидает группу. Abbey снова садится за ударную установку, а место басиста временно занимает Gottesman. В свою очередь в середине 2007-го, сразу после выступления на фестивале Wave-Gotik-Treffen, группу покидает Rotny по причине скандала, разразившемся между ним и Nero. Во второй половине 2007-го Daniel Fox становится официальным участником PSYCLON NINE.

В первой половине 2008-го года наконец-то состоялся релиз долгожданного официального видео PSYCLON NINE на песню «Parasitic» с альбома «Crwn Thy Frnicatr», который был снят ещё в конце 2007-го. Режиссёром клипа стал Rick 'Stitch' Thomas, участник MUSHROOMHEAD. Примерно в это же время, ближе к середине 2008-го, PSYCLON NINE вновь терпит потери. Группу покидают сразу два участника — Josef Heresy и Dr. Sevin.
